Art and William (1999) quoted that the attributes of superior customer value are fundamentally a blend of quality, services, and price (QSP).From consumer’s perspective, QSP have been identified as superior customer value with the resulting experiences about the goods or services provided by the Malaysian car companies. Interactions in the real world of shopping are mainly based on face-to-face activities between consumers and service personnel’s, but with the emergence of the Internet, retailers are beginning to offer consumers a different approach to shopping. This study illustrates how shopping patterns have changed with the emergence of the Internet and how retailers and consumers have adapted to the change. Consumer perception towards online shopping was explored via a survey, with results showing that Internet shopping is a part of many peoples life. Retailer interviews showed that online shopping was the way forward, but barriers will need to be overcome, such as security and consumer confidence. For online banking background, the advent of the Internet and the popularity of personal computers presented both an opportunity and a challenge for the banking industry. For years, financial institutions have used powerful computer networks to automate millions of daily transactions. The aim of the research is to investigate the driving forces and barriers for using online banking in the U.K. A detail literature review of literature suggested that online banks should build the customer confidence by creating security and trust. Trust has a more direct effect on an individual’s behaviour than perceived ease of use in the online banking context. Strategic Information System Planning In Investment Banks

Even though there is a wealth of published literature on SIS planning, not many experimental studies have been carried out and the few that are still here today are non-industry specific. This study looks at the practice of SIS planning in investment banks located in the city of London and also on a study carried out in Singapore in the 1990s. The way the data was collected was by using a questionnaire that was sent to all experts involved in the SIS planning with the exceptions of CIOs. I decided to choose three of the top ten investment banks in the city to take part of this study. I sent out 10 questionnaires via email and all 10 were received back, but only 6 of these were usable. Most of the participants involved showed that Strategic IS planning were used by their companies; but the level of top management involvement was average (50%).
