The Use of Modern Methods of Construction in assisting to resolve the UK Social Housing Deficit

This research study will begin by examining the current structure of the social housing sector, in order to determine the required criteria and specifications set out by local government bodies, for the construction of social housing developments within the UK. It will then go on to critically appraise the MMC currently available within the UK housing industry. Finally, an investigation will be carried out as to what level MMCs are being used within the sector and with what success, to determine the potential of MMC for the production of social housing developments within the UK.
